WeatherGo is built to support your lifestyle. WeatherGo is intended to be a different kind of weather application that will help determine if it's a good day to do whatever it is that you like to do.

I am a motorcycle rider and my first intention to write this application was to help me determine if it was a good day to ride or not. I would see the forecast by day for the week with the highs and lows with the possibility of rain. But I wanted to know more, like is it raining all day or just during lunch? If that's the case I am still good to ride. So then I would look at the break-down by hour and determine if I was still willing to ride and maybe look at the doppler radar. And of course I was traveling somewhere, so I'd also review the forecast at my destination to see if it was different. I would do this every day for my commute and I wanted to build a better way to do this while saving myself some time and having fun with it.

But once I started building it and talking with people about it, I realized that I could open it up to support any type of activity that you could do outdoors with different conditions that would determine if it's a good day for anything. What if I go for a daily walk at lunch? Or I go golfing or Skiing on Thursday afternoons? What if I am a teacher that takes my kids outside during recess? What if I fly a drone? And then what if I think a good day is actually atypical and I do not like the sun, what if I enjoy the rain?

WeatherGo is an application to help with all that, by doing the analysis for you and providing you with the results and doing it in a fun way.

Themes

The results of the WeatherGo algorithm are based upon your desired outdoor activities. These activities are categorized by what is called a "Theme" within the WeatherGo application. There are multiple themes to chose from:

SUN

When you first launch the app it will configure itself to be for a casual daily sun lover with preferences set to average human comfort levels.

HOT

Some people prefer it hotter than others. Examples: Surfing, Sunbathing, etc...

COLD

Some people prefer it colder than others. Examples: Skiiing, Ice Fishing, etc...

PLUVIAL

If you don't like the sun and would prefer it if it was raining. Examples: Vampires, Avid Readers, Software Developers, etc...

DRONE

And if you plan on flying your drone, you're going to want a sunny day with minimal wind.

Schedules

You could schedule your daily weather analysis. When you first launch the application, it will conveniently setup the default settings for your typical 9-to-5er. But you're schedule may be different and WeatherGo supports that. Your events may include travel between different locations and you'd be interested in the forecast at both locations. You could setup multiple schedules with multiple locations which will be used to determine if it's a good day for you and your activities.

Daily Commute

Perhaps your a biker, like myself, who just wants to know if it's a good day to take the motorcycle to work. Simply choose the SUN or HOT theme and set the times and locations of your commute and WeatherGo will do the rest.

Sporting Events

Maybe you like to play basketball or some other event after work. You could setup a schedule to let you know if today is a good day for that.

If you like to Ski, choose the COLD theme, if you like to Surf, choose the HOT theme. If you like to pick night crawlers for fishing, go PLUVIAL.

Outdoor Activities

Maybe you're a school teacher that takes your kids outside for recess and would like to plan your day

Drones

And if you're a Drone Pilot you will be interested in a bit more information than the temperature, such as the wind. Just schedule your regular flight times and choose the DRONE theme.
